NBA Media Reacts To Lakers 130-111 Loss To Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors are at a completely different level at the moment. The Lakers are plagued with injuries, and the Warriors are in a perfect condition. Los Angeles played without LeBron James, Lonzo Ball and Rajon Rondo. It was bad, and the fanbase knows it. The Lakers struggled on the floor, and let’s not forget they were not defeated by the Lakers… until yesterday.

The Warriors had five great stars on the roster. Los Angeles has enough trouble confronting the Warriors, and these injuries made things even worse. Luke Walton needed everyone on the roster to do their job, but the young core failed.

Truth is, the NBA media did not blame the Lakers for the terrible loss.

The starting lineup consisted of Brandon Ingram, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart and Tyson Chandler. Lonzo was starting the games throughout the season, but Josh Hart stepped in this time. He gave the team more shooting, but the Lakers did not have much playmaking. Playing without a point guard is more than impossible.

Brandon Ingram played point guard instead of Lonzo, and Lance Stephenson got his very first opportunity to do that with the second unit.

“With Brandon Ingram playing point guard in place of Lonzo Ball, Lance Stephenson will get the first opportunity to do so with the second unit,” Matthew Moreno tweeted.

“He’ll be running the majority of the point as we get into our bench,” head coach Luke Walton said.

The veteran is a capable shot-creator, but is considered an inconsistent overall player.

The NBA media noticed that both teams had a terrible start of the game. They had slow starts, and the Lakers could stay competitive for a bit longer. The Warriors have trouble struggling in Los Angeles. But, they won the game last night.
