Bill Belichick Details Emotional Moment With Tom Brady After AFC Title Win

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick did not bring things too far. We have heard so much about the alleged tension between these two. But, even if the tension existed, there was no sign of it after the Patriots’ 37-31 overtime win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Patriots defeated the Chiefs and are on their way to Atlanta. We could not just ignore the emotional moment Brady and Belichick shared ad midfield.

Marc DiBenedetto caught the quarterback and his head coach hugging and exchanging “love yous” after New England won the game. Well, we could also hear some cursing.

When asked about the special moment and the emotions that flooded the locker room, the head coach gave the perfect response. He talked about it during the first news conference of the week.

Belichick opens up about the embrace

“I think when you go through a whole year with other people and you’re doing and experiencing the same thing, which we are, we’re all trying to win games and contribute and help the team,” Belichick said. “Then you form a bond with individuals and collectively as a group. So, we achieved a very successful moment the other night. I think everybody felt it.”

The Patriots were really emotional about the win. Winning the AFC Championship game was a big bite to swallow, and New England did it. You do not go with 11-5 record in your division. Most teams cannot even get close to that.

Brady and his head coach joined the team in 2000. They will have the ninth Super Bowl together, and that’s a nice accomplishment. Belichick has also coached in three Super Bowls before he joins the Patriots in 2000.

The game in Atlanta will be something you do not want to miss. The Patriots will play the Los Angeles Rams, and we already have a favorite.
