Lakers Reveal LeBron James’ Status For Sunday Game Against the Suns

LeBron James earned a groin injury in the Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors, and he has been out ever since. The Los Angeles Lakers struggle without their star player, and have gone 5-9 since he left the floor. Rajon Rondo and Lonzo Ball were also injured, and that just added salt to the injury. The Lakers are playing the Phoenix Suns, and have made a decision on LeBron’s status.

LA played poorly in LeBron’s absence, and the young talents were not enough to win more games. The front office confirmed its willingness to part ways with some of their young players in order to sign a superstar player. But, that does not change the fact that LeBron will stay out of the floor a little longer than predicted. Yes, he will miss the game against the Suns, too.

The Suns are safe for now

Los Angeles has officially ruled LeBron out for Sunday’s game against the Phoenix Suns. That’s bad news for everyone, including LeBron. He cannot just sit on the sidelines while watching his players lose games.

The team has been inconsistent on offense and lost games to the worst players in the league. Can you believe that the 9-41 Cavaliers defeated LA? The same applies to the 10-37 Knicks. That just hurts.

LeBron averages 27.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. He was given a huge role in developing the young players on the roster such as Ball and Kyle Kuzma. Ball had to convert into a leader since he was injured, and no, it did not work.

If the Lakers are still interested in making the playoffs, they will have to get LeBron on the field as soon as possible. Losing the game against the Suns is not that bad, but they will have to work really hard.
