SportsCenter Falls For Fake Instagram Hint Of LeBron James’ Tampering With Anthony Davis

LeBron James was targeted by several NBA general managers, and they got really angry after the alleged tampering thing.

ESPN started the whole thing after LeBron said it would be cool to play with Anthony Davis. The NBA sent out a memo warning teams against players talking aloud? Tampering is not something you get away with in the NBA.

SportsCenter fell for another hint. Anchor Neil Everett highlighted a screenshot that sort of shows LeBron being all nice and funny in the comments next to a Davis Instagram post. It had the word “laker” added to it, too.

“Look what we found on Insta-face: LeBron James giving thumps up to Anthony Davis’s wardrobe, and at the same time James basically giving the middle finger to the NBA. Sheesh!” Everett said of LeBron’s comment.

Does he know that the screenshot comes from a two-part Twitter mini-thread by someone under the name @sreekyshooter? So, this tampering thing is actually a game based on faked screenshots.

This has nothing to do with tampering efforts

We know how things work on the Internet. There are guys who can easily make up a story using fake names, fake accounts, fake info, fake everything. Everett thought he came across something huge, but this was just a bait or something. Yes, this sure looks real, but it sure raised some eyebrows.

LeBron James would never do anything to compromise himself and his team. Some players have done that, but he is smart enough to avoid problems. When talking about Davis, he was just trying to express his willingness to play with one of the greatest players in his era.

Anthony Davis is looking for a way out of his current team, and the Lakers are his favorite destination. Will he leave the New Orleans Pelicans to join the Los Angeles Lakers? Seeing him play with LeBron could change everything.
