Brandon Ingram Opens Up On LeBron James And Rajon Rondo Injuries

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing without their star player LeBron James, and things do not look too bright. They have won just once since LeBron suffered a groin injury. Rajon Rondo is also injured, and the situation requires immediate solution. Brandon Ingram knows what the team has to do to improve while these two are out.

LeBron James suffered a groin injury in the Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors. It will take three weeks before Rondo comes back on the court. Rondo was injured in the game against the Golden State and sprained his right ring finger. Lakers head coach Luke Walton called on the players to step up and rely on a natural leader on the court. Brandon Ingram says the Lakers have to win more games.

“I feel the same way whether guys are in or out. The accountability of losing basketball games is (the same) because I know I can always do something to affect the ballclub and win games. After each loss, I think I take it the most (personal). I think I feel good when we win. I never felt satisfied but I felt comfortable in games where everybody was comfortable on the basketball floor, shooting their shots, getting to the rim and were just confident in themselves.”

Having LeBron and Rondo out of the game means that the young players will have the opportunities to show what they can.

“It’s a different adjustment with different guys on the basketball floor. I just try to come in, figure out how to play the game the right way, how to be effective on the basketball floor. I just look at the game and see how I can utilize myself and teammates.”

Is Ingram right about the whole thing? Well, the Lakers are struggling at the moment.
