Details On Josh Gordon’s Suspension Come In, Potential For Patriots Return

Josh Gordon did not have the luck to join his teammates in their effort to win Super Bowl LIII. The receiver decided to leave the team in order to take care of his mental health. But, the NFL had some bad news for him, and he was suspended for abusing the substance abuse policy earlier in the season.

However, that is not the end of the Josh Gordon era. There is an update on Gordon’s suspension and his current activities. Doug Kyed of NESN.com reported that the suspension was triggered by diluted drug test samples. The receiver is receiving treatment at an inpatient facility in Gainesville, Florida. Kyed reported that the Pats are paying for his treatment as a team. The NFL and NFLPA work with Gordon to find a solution for his drug addiction.

Kyed also said that there is a chance to see Gordon coming back to Foxboro. If he returns to the team and the Patriots win the Super Bowl, he will also receive a ring.

Josh Gordon supports Pats

Gordon may be away from the team but he is supporting every move they make and every game they take part in. New England defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime of the AFC Championship, and he took to his Instagram account to congratulate his teammates for making the Super Bowl.

“To the most passionate, dedicated, honorable, & hardest working group of men I’ve ever met. The integrity, love, and passion you guys share for the game will echo throughout your legacy,” Gordon wrote.

Gordon was the Patriots’ top receiver at the time of his suspension. He led New England in receiving yards (720) and had 40 catches and three touchdowns. His departure had a terrible effect on the Patriots’ game, but they managed to win the games. They are now in Atlanta, hoping to win the Super Bowl.
