LeBron James Sent Lakers Warning From Close Friend After Trade Request

The New Orleans Pelicans may get the worst surprise ever as Anthony Davis had brought up a trade request.

Anthony’s trade request added fuel to the fire, and fans started talking about Los Angeles Lakers. According to Richard Jefferson, signing Davis may not actually help the Lakers.

Los Angeles plans to make a move for Davis. The Boston Celtics cannot sign Davis until the summer because of the Kyrie Irving’s position at the moment. They may include Irving in the deal for Davis, but rumors say something else.

Davis’ arrival in LA could turn the team into contenders in the West. However, Jefferson says this will not be enough to confront the Golden State Warriors.

“No [Davis and James aren’t the best one-two punch], but it’s close,” Jefferson said on ESPN’s The Jump. “I still think with the Warriors you can go Steph and KD. I think that one-two punch and what they bring to the table… But that gives LeBron; that gives the Lakers; that gives coach Walton that final piece to now start building around.”

Davis’ trade request sends him to LA

“You understand that there is a leverage that the LeBron team has with his relationship with Rich Paul,” he added. “They have so much leverage now. He’s going to get to choose. People can say well there’s L.A, there’s Boston. But really, he has all the leverage. He can tell Boston that he doesn’t want to go there and that he’s only going to re-sign in one place. He can tell L.A. that he doesn’t want to go there so Rich Paul and Anthony Davis now have all the leverage in the world to pick where they want to go. For me, I think everyone is starting to see that it is probably leaning towards L.A.”
