LeBron James Told What Anthony Davis Thinks About Trade

LeBron James was told that Pelicans star Anthony Davis is trying to push a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans. Well, that’s what Dahntay Jones thinks about the whole thing.

Jones won the 2016 NBA championship alongside King James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Los Angeles Lakers are still linked with Anthony Davis, and the Pelicans do not really like the current development of events.

The team is 14th in the Western Conference, and the Pelicans lost seven of the last nine games. The 126-121 loss to the Brookly Nets was awful. The Pelicans know that reaching the playoffs is of great importance, and the team will try to offer Davis a supermax contract extension.

“I don’t think he should just go to the media and dog them out. They’ve been loyal to him and he’s been as loyal as he can to them,” Jones said.

“Now at this point of his career he’s just like, ‘this is what I want. I want to be considered one of the greats so I have to win now. ‘I have to win for a long period of time and right now I don’t think that’s something you can do for me. That franchise is going to have to take some steps to accommodate a star of his caliber. He’s talking about a legacy, he’s talking about championships and they\re just not ready for that right now.”

“To be able to get somebody to play next to him or two or three players to play next to him, they can’t get that type of player right now. The only way to get it is the model Golden State used is to draft wisely and to be able to be attractive with winning. You can’t solve that answer this fast for a guy who’s coming up in a year in free agency that wants to win championships.”
