LeBron’s Return Date Revealed, But Major Question Raised

LeBron James has not played with the Los Angeles Lakers since Christmas Day, and the team has now confirmed his return date.

Fox Sports’ Nick Wright reported that LeBron will suit up for the game against the Philadelphia 76ers next week. He also questioned LeBron’s condition while bringing out his return date.

LeBron has missed 14 consecutive games, and he will also miss another one as the team ruled him out for the match against the Minnesota Timberwolves. King James has not practiced with contact, and he is slowly getting into shape.

Lakers head coach did not confirm whether the star player would return for the game against the Suns. Wright also believes that the Lakers will give LeBron more rest before he returns on the floor for the 76ers.

Wright brings on LeBron’s return date

“I think LeBron is going to come after the Phoenix game. He’s going to miss the Minnesota game, miss the Phoenix game and then come back after the Phoenix game,” Wright said.

“To me, the question in this is how is LeBron going to respond to the first significant injury of his career? We do not know. We can think we know but he doesn’t know either. He’s never been out of basketball this long.”

“I think mentally he’ll be fine but will he be in the shape he’s used to being in? Will one injury lead to more? We can hope that’s not the case. We can hope that this is just an outlier, just strained groin. But we are in unprecedented territory now with LeBron James, an athlete who up until two months ago had been the most durable athlete in NBA history this side of Karl Malone, now suffering a significant injury that’s going to cost him a quarter of the season.”

Let’s see if LeBron plays as good as he used to before the sprain.
