Luke Walton Slams Two Stars After Another Loss Without LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers lost the game to the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-96. Head coach Luke Walton questioned the game of Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram. LeBron James is out of the court, and he will also miss a few games. The team is 1-5 without LeBron, and Rajon Rondo is also out due to his finger issue. Kyle Kuzma is dealing with lower back contusion.

Head coach Walton was pretty disappointed about the terrible start. 26-5 is not good at all. The head coach encouraged Ball and Ingram to give their best now that LeBron is out of the game.

“They’re trying but they’re young. At some point, we need more passion. We need more fight. And that’s not scoring more. That’s more diving for loose balls, communicating loudly, grabbing (rebounds). Brandon had some really nice crack-back rebounds tonight that we can get out and run (from). We need that all the time from him. So, it’s not just them but until we get healthy again, you got to play in this league with some passion and fire. It’s hard to win in this league when you are healthy. So you need to double that effort when guys are down,” he said.

Ball agreed with the head coach.

“We weren’t physical enough. That’s a big strong team over there. I don’t think we brought the fight today,” he said.

This was the second game Ball failed to score in.

“We’re down a lot of scorers right now. I’ve got to pick up that load. Obviously I didn’t’ do it tonight. I got to pick it up tomorrow,” he said.

The Lakers will play the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow at 1.30 am UK time. Let’s hope that they will have more luck in the games that follow. Will they find a way to win a game without the king?
