NBA Expert Makes Stunning Statement About Anthony Davis’ Trade To Lakers

Anthony Davis could join the Los Angeles Lakers before the trade deadline on February 7.

NBA expert Colin Cowherd explained that Davis will secure his move and play smart. The New Orleans Pelicans Star had an impressive season, noting that he is more interested into legacy than money.

Cowherd suggested that playing alongside LeBron James could be of great importance for Davis. “Anthony Davis is doing it right, right before the break up you drop hints and a month ago, three weeks ago, he said it wasn’t about the money, it was about legacy. That’s one of the hints you drop before you break up because New Orleans can absolutely pay him the most money. But he said a few weeks ago it is not about the money, it is about legacy. Well you’re going to win more with LeBron.”

Cowherd said that NFL star player Antonio Brown could really use the steps Davis takes to leave the Pelicans.

“He’s also making himself very attractive because Antonio Brown is breaking up the wrong way.

“He’s having tantrums, missing games, going on Instagram, that’s going to turn off a lot of teams. A lot of good teams will stay away from Antonio Brown. They don’t want that toxic person in their locker room. Anthony Davis is breaking up the right way. Play your butt off, put up big numbers, talk about wanting to win titles over getting money and then saying: ‘I’m frustrated because we’re not wining enough’,” Cowherd added.

Dahntay Jones said Davis will probably leave the Pelicans in the summer.

“I don’t think he should just go to the media and dog them out. They’ve been loyal to him and he’s been as loyal as he can to them. Now at this point of his career he’s just like, ‘this is what I want. I want to be considered one of the greats so I have to win now. ‘I have to win for a long period of time and right now I don’t think that’s something you can do for me,” Jones said on The Herd.
