NBA Media Reacts To Lakers Embarrassing Loss Vs. Cavaliers

You cannot blame the Los Angeles Lakers for their bad game. They still play without LeBron James, and that means that they will struggle every time he is out of the court. But, these struggles mean that the team will lose too many games, and this time they lost the game to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The team is 3-7 since LeBron was injured on Christmas Day. The Lakers lost the game to the New York Knicks at home, and last night they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers came to Staples Center to defeat the Lakers

“Statistically speaking, the Cavs have the worst defense of all time. Tonight they’ve kept the Lakers to 74 points with 7:39 left,” Joe Vardon tweeted.

The Cavaliers are the worst defense in the league, and probably one of the worst in the entire history. But, the Lakers could not score against that defense.

“The Lakers have not attempted a 3 in the fourth quarter. Good strategy, since they are just 5-for-25 on the night. Unfortunately, attacking the rim hasn’t worked much better considering they’re just 11-for-19 from the foul line,” Bill Oram wrote.

Well, the Lakers had a nice chance to avoid this. They made a mistake by emphasizing the ball-handling. Rajon Rondo is still out, remember that.

Shooting was the biggest problem for the team. The Lakers were terrible in the first few quarters. They said they were taking the Cavaliers seriously, but this terrible loss shared a different story.

Josh Hart is one of the very few shooters on the team, but the Cavaliers locked him down, meaning he needs LeBron back on the court as soon as possible.

Maybe this loss will trigger LeBron to join his teammates a lot ealier than predicted. We do believe that he cannot stand watching his teammates lose.
