Patriots’ Brian Flores Meeting With These Four Teams For Head-Coaching Vacancies

Brian Flores will not use his first weekend of the NFL postseason to relax. The New England Patriots have earned their bye as the Wild Card game is on its way. The team’s defensive coordinator is now meeting with four NFL teams as they are trying to fill in their empty head-coaching spots.

Flores attracted the attention of the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns. However, the Green Bay Packers have been related to the coordinator in the past few weeks. The Packers are also trying to get the attention of the Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

Everything points to the fact that these four teams are probably not the only teams interested in him. ESPN’s Adam Schefter has already reported that the Denver Broncos  are planning to request an interview, too.

“Broncos just requested permission to interview Patriots’ defensive coordinator Brian Flores for their HC job, per source,” he tweeted.

Flores is “well regarded as a leader by both players and coaches,” as reported by ESPN’s Dan Graziano.

Denver removed Vance Joseph from the head-coaching position on NFL Black Monday, after he sort of oversaw the team’s first back-to-back losing seasons since 1971-71. Broncos president of football operations and general manager John Elway is now looking for a replacement. We can just wait and see whether Flores will get his hands on that empty position.

The Patriots did a good job this season, but the trade rumors still rock the team.

So, McDaniels and Flores are on a good way to leave the Patriots. This is not good for the team that is trying to hit a huge challenge.

Losing McDaniels and Flores is not such a good thing to handle at the moment, but let’s just wait and see what happens with these interviews. Will they leave the team?
