Report: NFL Decides When New England Patriots Will Play Next Week

The first game of the NFL playoffs is now in the books, and we are given a closer look at the rest of the postseason. The Indianapolis Colts visited the Houston Texans, and defeated the team on Saturday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter said the league is already assigned the team its slot for next week. The team is at the No. 6 seed in the AFC, and they are making their way to Kansas City to confront the Chiefs. We have the date, too. The Colts are in the early slot, and their game against the Chiefs is scheduled on Saturday at 4:35 PM EST. In other words, the winner of the contest between the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Lakers will travel to Foxboro and play against the New England Patriots.

The game will be played at 1:05 slot. The team will play their second consecutive early game on the East coast if they find a way to defeat the Ravens. Squads in the Pacific time zone do not have much luck in early road games, because their bodies are used to playing at different time. The Patriots will have an advantage if the Chargers win Sunday’s game. But they will have this disadvantage before the game against the Ravens. Luckily, it my not last three rounds.

The AFC went first last season, and the NFC will go this season. the slots for the games are sort of unusual. The NFC starts at 3:05 PM East, and the AFC kicks off at 6:40 PM EST. Home-field advantage depends on the outcome of the next few rounds.

We cannot say much at this point as the Colts have already won a match. This changes the plan of New England as the team planned to play the Texans next week. Well, the NFL playoffs are always unpredictable.
