Tom Brady Releases Emotional Statement About The Relationship With Edelman

Tom Brady and Julian Edelman have a special relationship, and the quarterback believes it is more than a brotherhood.

“He’s always been kind of like my little brother, in a good way,” Brady said of Edelman. “I don’t have a little brother, but he’s kind of like a little brother and he knows how much I love him.”

TB12 grew up with three sisters, and Edelman earned his trust many years ago. The quarterback highlighted all the time they have spent together watching film while crediting Edelman for mastering the role of receiver over the years.

According to Brady, it is “beyond incredible” that his friend and Jerry Rice are the only two receivers in NFL postseason history with over 100 catches.

Brady praises Edelman

“When you talk about Jerry Rice, that’s a guy that’s set every receiving record in the history of the NFL, basically,” Brady said. “For Jules to be right there as one of two guys including him, again it’s just such a credit to Jules.”

The quarterback also said that Edelman “wasn’t built like Megatron,” and actually embraces the nickname “Squirrel.” We all know that Jules converted from quarterback to wide receiver, and Brady noted that this experience has benefited him a lot.

“I think his quarterback background’s probably helped him in terms of knowing where to be, knowing how to get open, and knowing when the quarterback wants to get rid of the ball,” Brady said.

Edelman’s former position is one of the reasons for this brotherhood. They are also sharing huge success, and even grew up together.

The receiver moved from California to the Midwest (Kent State University in Ohio) to start off his college career. TB12 moved from California to the University of Michigan.

“I’m so happy in everything that he achieves,” Brady said. Well, the same applies for all of his teammates.
