Watch: Bill Belichick Cracking Up At Dad Joke Was Highlight Of Super Bowl Opening Night

There isn’t much to tell about Bill Belichick’s personal side – he has kept that part relatively secret. But one thing has just been revealed, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise: He apparently shares the same sense of humor with any 66-year-old dad.

As his team is about to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday the New England Patriots head coach let his guard down at Monday’s Super Bowl Opening Night. And while Belichick’s face shows almost always “nothing but business”, he did allow for a few laughs to slip here and there during his press conference.

The most memorable moment, however, came at the end of his media session when a reporter told a joke. Here it is:

Reporter: “What did wide receiver tell the football?”
Bill Belichick: (Says nothing, leans back)
Reporter: “I’ll catch you later!”
Belichick: (Breaks out into a fit of laughter)

We’re sure you want to see that laughter yourself, so here it is! You can see the full interaction below, and if you want, you can skip directly to the joke which is around the 8:40 mark.

Apparently Bill Belichick really liked that joke! And that was enough interaction for him, because just after that he got up from his seat and that’s when the press conference ended. After all, he’s got more important things to do -preparing for Sunday night’s game.
