Watch: Patriots Share Locker Room Celebration After Winning AFC Championship

The New England Patriots throw an amazing locker room celebration every time they win a game, and this time they have every right to celebrate.

The Patriots pulled off an excellent win in overtime against the Kansas City Chiefs while earning their ticket to Atlanta and Super Bowl LIII. So this will be their third trip to the biggest game in as many seasons. The entire team played well, and the Chiefs had no chance against Tom Brady and Co. We got the chance to peak into the locker room celebration and witness the great joy on the players’ face. Coaches were celebrating, too.

Bill Belichick addresses team in locker room celebration

Congratulations men,” Belichick said. “This is everything we talked about. Competing on the road against another good football team at this time of year. You guys just kept battling, kept competing and they certainly made their plays, we made a few more. You guys did a great job, alright. That’s what it’s going to be like. The next game’s going to be tougher than this one, but that’s the way it’s supposed to be when you’re going all the way through.

“Enjoy this one. You earned it. You deserve it. Give [The Chiefs] credit now. They’re a good football team. Obviously so are the Rams. You guys played your ass off and you deserve to be champions. Congratulations.”

The Pats were holding onto their regular gam. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce had just four catches for 65 yards. Hill had zero catches in the second half and overtime.

“What a remarkable game that was last night,” Belichick said during his appearance on WEEI’s Ordway, Merloni and Fauria on Monday. “I was so proud of our players and staff. Back-and-forth game, but we just kept competing and in the end made a little bit more, made a couple more plays than the Chiefs did. They are a good football team. It’s a tough place to play, but you have to give our guys so much credit for the heart, determination and toughness that they showed.”

“I love this team, I love our players. I love the way they played. I loved the way they played and competed last night. It wasn’t perfect, but they gave everything they had, and that is all you can ask for as a coach. And I would say the coaching staff, me included, gave everything we had. We made mistakes and there were things we could have done better too, but we all put it all out there and thankfully we were able to win in overtime.”
