Watch: Plaxico Burress Drops Bold Prediction On Tom Brady’s Future

Plaxico Burress believes that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is an excellent player mostly because he had the chance to watch his rise.

The former Steelers and Giants receiver and Brady squared off in one of college football’s greatest rivalries with Burress’ Michigan State taking on Brady’s Michigan Wolverines. Both players were in the same draft class in 2000. Plaxico Burress was a touted prospect out of MSU and was take NO. 8 overall pick by the Steelers. New England took Brady with the 199th overall pick.

It is been 20 years now, and Brady still rocks the world of football. But, Brady said he will play until 45.

Plaxico Burress makes prediction

Burress believes that Brady can play that long.

“I believe him,” Burress told FS1’s Undisputed on Thursday. “I believe him because [the Patriots] will find a way to protect Tom Brady. If you protect him, I don’t see him slowing down anytime soon. Me and Tom Brady were in the same draft in 2000. And we were the last two guys playing from our draft out of 255 players we were the last two players and he’s still playing, man. Can you imagine that?”

When it comes to his production, Burress is not quite surprised to see that Brady still plays on the field with such a great fire in his hands.

“I’m not surprised at all, to be honest with you,” he said. “I’ve been playing against Tom Brady at Michigan State and Michigan since 1998 and I’ve been watching him perform these miracles at a legendary level for the last 20 years. He just has a chip on his shoulder that you can’t it knock off. Eight straight AFC Championship Games. That’s unbelievable. Those things don’t happen in this business. Eight AFC Championship Games in a row.”
