Tom Brady Rewrites Super Bowl Record Books With First Pass Vs. Rams

The New England Patriots won’t be taking anything less than victory today, and they are more than ready to win the Super Bowl. But, how much is the team willing to go? Everything pointed to the fact that the Patriots will march down the field for a score on the very first drive of Super Bowl LIII. But, the first pass did not go well.

However, it was more than obvious that things not always turn out to be what you expected. Will Tom Brady be able to rewrite Super Bowl record books? His first pass was not that exclusive.

Cordarrelle Patterson carried the opening kickoff 38 yards to the Patriots’ 39-yard line, so the team gained 28 yards on four straight rushing plays to carry the football to the Rams’ 34-yard line. But, the drive was stopped as Corey Littleton intercepted TB12’s first pass of the game.

Brady joined a nice group in the process, and we do believe he would never want to see his name signed there.

“Tom Brady is the 3rd starting quarterback to throw an interception on his first pass of the Super Bowl. He joins Jim Kelly (XXVI) and Ron Jaworski (XV). It’s the first time all season Brady has thrown an interception on the Patriots’ opening drive.”

Jim Kelly’s 1991 Buffalo Bills and Ron Jaworski’s 1980 Philadelphia Eagle were on the losing end of their Super Bowls.

As you can see from this game, the Los Angeles Rams won’t let things go the way Patriots desire. They are not giving up without a struggle, and the first portion of the game says it all.

Brady and his teammates were getting ready for the big game, and they will have to put an extra effort to get things going. Let’s see if things work the way they planned. This is an important game for both teams, meaning they won’t give up on the Lombardi Trophy that easily.
