Watch: Steelers Fans Destroys His TV After Watching Patriots Win Super Bowl LIII

Everyone is still talking about the Super Bowl and the New England Patriots. Steelers fans discuss whether the Patriots’ recent win is better than the win the 1970s Steelers had when they won four Super Bowls in a six-year span from 1974-79. New England is really enjoying the greatest run in the entire NFL history. However, some say that the ’70s Stelers are the best team in the Super Bowl era.

Pittsburgh’ ‘70s teams had nine Hall of Fame players, Hall of Fame coach Chuck Noll, Hall of Fame team president Dan Rooney and Hall of Fame owner, Art Rooney. The Steelers had a Hall of Fame player at almost every position in Joe Greene, Jack Lambert, Jack Ham, Mel Blount, Mike Webster, Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Lynn Swann and John Stallworth. That era also offers three other All-Pros – Andy Russell, Donnie Shell and L.C. Greenwood. That squad was 4-0 in Super Bowls while being presented as the only team in the NFL history to win back-to-back Super Bowls. Twice. That’s how they earned such a great army of Steelers fans.

The ‘70s Steelers did magic through the draft. They selected four future Hall of Famers from the ’74 draft alone. The ’79 Steelers are the last Super Bowl champion made of players that have never worn jerseys of another team. We will never see that happen again.

Similar to the Steelers, the Patriots managed free agency better than other NFL teams in the past two decades. Both teams managed to hit the top thanks to the organization and their Hall of Fame coaches, Chuck Noll and Bill Belichick. They are a combined 10-3 in Super Bowls.

Comparing the ’70s Steelers to Brady’s Patriots is like comparing Jordan’s Chicago Bulls of the ‘90s to Tim Duncan’s San Antonio Spurs of the late ‘90s to mid ‘10s. Pittsburgh players are the Bulls. The Patriots are the Spurs. Feel free to elaborate that.
