Danny Amendola Could Open The Door For Patriots Reunion

The Patriots nation cheers on the possibility that Danny Amendola comes back to Foxboro.

“Finszone” was the first to shock the NFL with the Amendola claim. According to this account, the Miami Dolphins will probably move on from the former Patriot this offseason. What made them think of this alternative? It seems like general manager Chris Grier does not like having the receiver on the roster for $6 million next year. This is not an official information, but NFL Network’s Mike Giradi says it is possible. Giradi said that Amendola may join the New York Jets because of his relationship with Adam Gase.

The New England Patriots may also be a landing spot for the receiver. Amendola left New England after five seasons with the team last offseason. He signed a two-year contract worth $12 million with the Dolphins. The turned in a 59 catch season for 575 yards and a touchdown. Nothing beats the fact that he was better with the Patriots, and they still respect him.

I love Danny,” Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said last offseason. “He did a great job for us. Great competitor. Played a lot of different roles. Tremendous person. I wish him well in the opportunity he has, other than the times we play him. I love everything that Danny brought to the team in the five years he was with us.”

For this to happen, the Dolphins will have to release the receiver. There is still a big chance that he reunites with his former team. Well, he may also want to sign a deal with the Jets as they may offer more money. If he returns to Foxboro, the Patriots will not spend too much to get him back. So, let’s just want and see what happens next. Is he really coming back?
