Los Angeles Lakers To Sign Sacramento Kings Star After Huge Hint Dropped

The Los Angeles Lakers lost the chance to sign New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis, and may be off to signing a Sacramento Kings player.

The team still needs someone to fill the empty spot on the roster after Ivica Zubac, Svi Mykhailiuk and Michael Beasley were traded away. It seems like they are ready to sign Sacramento Kings player Zach Randolph. Several names were linked to the Lakers in the last couple of weeks, but Randolph is closer to signing a contract with the team.

Carmelo Anthony was also an option, because he is friend with LeBron James. The Lakers need someone to fill in the center spot.  The team missed on Enes Kanter, who decided to sign a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers. That leaves them with very few options for the empty roster spot.

NBA insider Brandon Robinson reported that Randolph was caught working out on Lakers gear.

“I bumped into Zach Randolph at the gym in LA and he was in Lakers sweat suit,” a NFL player told Robinson.

Sacramento Kings Randolph is an option

Randolph was traded by the Sacramento Kings to the Dallas Mavericks, but they waived him immediately. He did not play with the Kings in his second season with the team. The 37-year-old player is a strong bench option, and he averages 16.6 points and 9.1 rebounds throughout his professional career.

Los Angeles is well aware of the fact that players can become playoff eligible after a completed buyout. This will not be a problem for Randolph, and the team can place him on the final roster spot.

This could come to play in their hopes to bring in DeAndre Jordan.

The player had a lot of minutes on the floor for the Knicks since he was traded by the Mavericks.

Let’s see what happens next in Los Angeles.
