Top Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver Addresses Possibility Of Signing With Patriots

Top Philadelphia Eagles receiver would love to catch passes from Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in 2019.

This is the story that made headlines today. Eagles receiver Golden Tate went on the Prostyle Podcast and talked about the chances to join the Patriots.

“Man, I would love [to play with Tom Brady],” Tate said. “That organization, they’ve proven to be champions year in and year out. They work hard for sure, but you know where you’re going to be at the end of the season. You’re going to be looking at not just going to playoffs, but you’re looking at maybe a first round bye.

“You’ve gotta admire that organization. They’ve been doing things right and they’ve been doing it for a long, long time so I would definitely love to be a part of something like that.”

The Eagles receiver describes New England as a destination

If you ask him, he would gladly pick a team led by successful quarterback.

“My time is limited,” he said. “I don’t know if it’s going to be three, four, five, six years. I don’t know what it’s going to be, but I’m on the tail end of my career for sure and I want to get another ring, man. Winning the Super Bowl was probably the highlight of my career and I want to get back there so much more. That’s what the goal is. So I want to go into this situation, I kind of what to have my cake and eat at the same time where they sling the ball a lot, where they have a good quarterback, have a good offensive line, have a good offensive coordinator – I kind of what it all. I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future. As we know, free agency starts in mid-March, so that’s when the bidding I guess starts.

“I just want to go into a good situation, man. I got to kind of do a lot of thinking, praying on it, talking to my family. but ultimately I want to go to — and I keep saying it — a good situation.”
