NBA Media’s Epic Reactions After Lakers’ 125-119 Win Over Pelicans

What’s going on with the Los Angeles Lakers? The team touches the deepest ground, and then rises up to reach for the sky. The Lakers were brilliant last night, and they gave the fanbase the long-awaited win over the New Orleans Pelicans. LeBron James and his teammates took down the Pelicans 125-119, and went 30-31 in the regular season.

This is not the best record in the season, but the Lakers are making progress. If they keep playing with the same style, they have a great chance of making the playoffs. LeBron, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma played really well against the Pelicans. They had 77 combined points, 17 rebounds and 16 assists. The Lakers removed JaVale McGee and played without a center. Reggie Bullock spaced the floor for his teammates. It was not the best game ever, but the Pelicans lost it.

”It was tough not to be on the floor, especially in crunch-time situations,” Anthony Davis said. ”But they battled. They hit some tough shots toward the end. It was just tough not being on the floor.’

”I’m actually great mentally. I go out and play basketball. I don’t let nobody steal my joy, no matter what it is.”

Kuzma seem to be happy with the way his team handled the Pelicans. The young Laker scored 22 points in the game.

”We knew playing New Orleans that we owed them a little bit of revenge because of the way they killed us there,” he said.

LeBron’s one-footed 3-pointer from the corner sealed the deal for the Lakers. But that’s just his style. He is not used to anything less than that.

”I just trusted my mechanics, trusted my shot and gave it a chance,” the king said. He finished with 33 points, 10 assists and 6 boards. Nice game, LeBron, nice game.
