Groundbreaking Case Made For Immediate HOF Induction For Brady And Belichick

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady are the best names in the world of football, and they are still celebrating their Super Bowl win. Nobody is trying to deny the fact that Brady and his head coach will be subjected to HOF induction one day.

Moreover, fans are already interested in the exact time of this HOF induction. Like, right now? There is a Hall of Fame rule of a five year waiting period, but that won’t be the case of TB12 and Belichick.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk says Belichick and Brady will be the exception to the rule.

“The Hall of Fame imposes a five-year waiting period before players and coaches can be considered for enshrinement. When Patriots coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady retire, the Hall of Fame should waive that requirement,” Florio wrote. “Presumably, both will retire at some point. Undoubtedly, both will get in after the five-year waiting period on the first try, with no debate. So why not put them in the moment that they’re done?”

“There’s no reason to make them wait, once they retire. (Arguably, there’s no reason to make them wait now; who could argue that they don’t deserve to already be in?) Hockey allows waiver of its Hall of Fame waiting period, and hockey has done it nine times. The NFL should have a similar provision, and know-it-when-we-see-it candidates like Belichick and Brady shouldn’t have to wait five minutes much less five years when they finally decide to walk away.”

We can’t really argue with Florio on this one.

If the Pro Football Hall of Fame ever decides to waive the waiting period for great NFL players and coaches, Brady and Belichick will be the first duo to go through the process. Everyone knows they are the best in the league.
