Lakers Gave Pelicans A Final Offer For Anthony Davis After ‘Outrageous’ Requests

The New Orleans Pelicans had trouble reaching an agreement with the Los Angeles Lakers in terms of trading Anthony Davis. Fans were really surprised to witness the whole process. The latest report suggests that Los Angeles has dropped a final offer in an effort to get Anthony Davis as soon as possible.

Many say the final offer is actually an impressive deal that should attract the attention of New Orleans. But, the Pelicans do not seem to be too thrilled to give up on their star player.

Times’ Broderick Turner reported that Magic Johnson felt like the Pelicans are asking for too much. According to these reports, the Lakers “pulled out” due to “outrageous trade requests” from the Pelicans.

Magic Jonson’s final offer included Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Ivica Zubac, Kentavious-Caldwell Pope and two first-round picks. This is pretty much every talented player on the Lakers roster. Unfortunately, the Pelicans wanted even more than this offer.

The Pelicans are not happy with the final offer

The Pelicans have already told the Lakers what they wanted to get. Recent reports suggest that New Orleans tried to get six to eight draft picks in this deal. Are the Lakers ready to give that much? magic Johnson told Dell Demps that his team made the best offer, and that’s their final word. The Pelicans were not too happy about it.

The Lakers front office wanted to move on from their efforts to acquire Davis. This is not bad news for Lakers fans as the 2019 NBA free agency is right around the corner.

The Pelicans may be happy to know that Davis will stay on the roster. But, fans are not too excited about it, because they are well aware of the fact that the star player wants to leave. It is more than obvious that the Pelicans are trying to get the best deal.
