LeBron James Reacts After Lakers’ Frustrating Loss To The Hawks

The Los Angeles Lakers had to go through another awful road game as they lost to the Atlanta Hawks.

The Lakers struggled to fix the mistakes they made in the match against the Philadelphia 76ers. They had a really good chance to defeat the Hawks, but rookie Trae Young and his teammates were more than brilliant.

Lakers head coach Luke Walton’s potential is still questioned, and the 117-113 loss was the last bullet he received. LeBron James played hard again, and addressed the problems his team is dealing with.

NBA expert Chris Carter had the courage to say that LeBron should no longer be called the best basketball player if he fails to take LA to the playoffs. The Lakers own the 10th seed in the Western Conference, and the loss to Atlanta was the last thing they needed at the moment. Carter believes LA should add a new star to the roster.

“That would also be the passing of the torch,” Carter told First Things First. “He can’t be the best player in the world and not be playing in the playoffs.”

But, Nick Wright does not agree with him and actually defended LeBron.

“The legacy discussion is an interesting one to me because I don’t believe athletes in any sport, baring some horrible scandal, go backwards,” he said. “And by that I mean you should never have your legacy tarnished by playing more. Where ever you have LeBron in the pantheon, if he retired after last year he shouldn’t be penalised for this [season]. I think continuing to play, if not enhance, it should not hurt what your standing is. I don’t hold the [Washington] Wizards years against [Michael] Jordon. I don’t think it’s fair to say a guy is here, and because he kept playing he goes backwards.”

Will LA have more luck next time?
