LeBron James Slams Zion Williamson Trade Rumors And Defends Agent Rich Paul

LeBron James does not like when people talk stupid things behind his back, and this time he made sure his voice was heard. The king of basketball defended his agent Rich Paul, slamming those who said he was trying to recruit Zion Williamson.

LeBron is in Charlotte, North Carolina, getting ready for the All-Star game and he went there just to watch a college basketball game. Zion Williamson is projected No 1 pick at the 2019 draft. When LeBron and Paul were caught together, people started talking.

“A recruiting trip? I didn’t talk to anybody,” LeBron told ESPN. “They’re only saying that because it’s Rich. When Shaq [Shaquille O’Neal] came to see me play in high school, when AI [Allen Iverson] came to see me play in high school, they weren’t saying it was a recruiting trip then. But because it’s Rich Paul and LeBron, now it’s a recruitment trip. Now Rich is a threat to everybody, and they look at it and they want to keep trying to jab my agent and jab my friend. And what is he doing that’s wrong? They don’t say that about no other agent when other guys go see [players]. They don’t say that about no other agent, but my guy because he’s a threat. And he’s African-American, too. Throw that in there.”

LeBron did not go there for Zion Williamson

LeBron said he was there to support Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

“It was a game between the [top] teams in the country,” King James added. “Coach K [Mike Krzyzewski] is my guy. And the flight was 35 minutes. So, it was easy. It was easy to be able to do it. It was my first time seeing Duke play, I think, in my life. I want to go to Cameron [Indoor Stadium] someday, too, though.”

Simple as that. There is no room for another rumor.
