NBA Media Reacts Lakers’ Brilliant Reggie Bullock Trade

The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Reggie Bullock late Tuesday after the terrible 42 point loss to the Indiana Pacers. The team decided to part ways with Svi Mykhailiuk and a 2021 second-round pick.

Reggie Bullock was on the Lakers list in the past few days. The Lakers did not get Anthony Davis, but the veteran shooter will help them a lot. The team will get another shooter, and that is of great help at the moment. Los Angeles struggled on the floor and Bullock will help them a lot. The shooter is also an expiring contract, so the Lakers will not have any trouble regarding his contract. They may get Davis, but new players are always welcomed. There are too many injuries and rumors, and the Lakers needed some shakeup.

Getting Reggie Bullock triggered an avalanche of reactions.

“The Bullock price is baffling. Rodney Hood, Justin Holiday and Korver net actual returns — and Detroit trades for cosplay Bertans.” The fact that the Lakers only give up on one player and a young prospect is not that bad, so they made a really good deal.

“Reggie Bullock is a nice add for the Lakers. Bullock shoots 41.1 percent from 3 since 2015, and he’s not just a spot-up shooter. Bullock is capable of hitting 3s off screens and handoffs, and moves well without the ball. Energetic defender too. He’ll be a free-agent this summer,” Kevin O’Connor said.

Reggie Bullock is a shooter

The Lakers needed a shooter, and Bullock is awesome in doing that. He does not even need the ball in his hands. Bullock is just happy with his role on the floor. He will have to wait for the ball and score at the right moment.

“Blake Griffin and Reggie Bullock’s dribble hand-off chemistry was basically the only thing that made the Pistons watchable this season. Hopefully the Lakers continue working Reggie like that and don’t turn him into solely a spot-up shooter.”
