Patriots Are Super Bowl LIII Champions, MVP Named

The New England Patriots won Super Bowl LIII, and deserve to be called Champions.

The Super Bowl LIII champions worked really hard to get here, and ended the game in the best way possible. The Los Angeles Rams did not give up without a struggle, but they had zero chance against Tom Brady and his teammates.

The Pats defeated the Rams 13-3 and won their sixth Lombardi trophy. This ties them with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most trophies any team has ever won. This was not the game we expected to see, and the Patriots earned the win in the way they have never done it before.

This is the lowest-scoring Super Bowl of all time despite the fact that fans expected to watch an offensively-oriented game. Defensive players ruled the game, and it was sort of appropriate in a season dominated by the offensive line. You probably thought that the Patriots would win the Super Bowl by boosting their offense, but they played really strong on defense this time. It was the last scenario everyone expected. It was a unique game.

Patriots receiver Julian Edelman was the only offensive player to dominate throughout the Super Bowl. We already knew this, and Edelman was even named the game’s MVP. Edelman did not have the best season, but his postseason is golden.

The Patriots are now standing next to the Steelers as they have six Super Bowl titles each. The Dallas Cowboys and the 49ers have five. The Green Bay Packers and Giants have 4. The Broncos, Redskins and Raiders have three. Let’s all take some time to congratulate these guys on their effort and strength. It was a tough season for everyone, and the Patriots had to go through an avalanche of criticism. But, that does not change the fact that they are the Super Bowl Champions now.
