Russell Westbrook In Stunning LeBron James And Magic Johnson Claim For Breaking NBA Record

Russell Westbrook was able to break records LeBron James and Magic Johnson could not even think of.

Well, that’s what NBA expert Chris Broussard says. Westbrook had his 10^th consecutive triple-double in the Thunder’s 120-111 win against the Blazers. Westbrook scored 21 points. He passed to Paul George to score a three-pointer, and managed to break Wilt Chamberlain’s record of nine consecutive triple-doubles in 1968.

Broussard praised the Thunder player for achieving that.

“Russell Westbrook averaging a triple-double the last three years is the greatest statistical feat in modern NBA history,” Broussard told the Undisputed. “It’s probably the most impressive statistical feat since Wilt Chamberlain averaged 45 points and 24 rebounds in 1963. He averaged 50 and 26 the year before.

He went on explaining that this record comes as a surprise if you take into consideration the fact that Russell is not the stand-out player on that floor.

Broussard is amazed with Westbrook

“What Russell Westbrook is doing is phenomenal. Nobody, not a player, nobody thought it was possible in today’s NBA for a guy to average a triple-double for an entire season. All the great players who have been stat stuffers; LeBron, Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, none of them have done it. If it was so easy why is nobody doing it now other than Russell Westbrook?”

“We usually look at great statistical feats nowadays,” Broussard added.

“He is not the best player in the world, he is not even the best player on his team, this year it has been Paul George, and he wasn’t the best player for most of his career, because Kevin Durant was here. He is an iconic figure and years from now people are going to be looking back. He is not getting enough credit.”
