Scottie Pippen Makes Groundbreaking Statement About LeBron James Comparing Him To Kobe And Jordan

Almost everyone is engaged in the NBA’s GOAT debate. Is LeBron James better than Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and the other legends? Former Chicago Bulls standout Scottie Pippen has already picked a side.

Scottie Pippen appeared on ESPN live from Charlotte where organizers have set the 2019 NBA All-Star Game. We all remember how Pippen praised LeBron, but this time he decided to take a different approach.

According to him, LeBron is not in Jordan’s class. He did not even compare him to Kobe Bryant.

“When I look at LeBron James, he’s not what Michael [Jordan] was as a player. He’s not even what Kobe Bryant was as a player,” Pippen told the hosts. “When you talk about trying to compare Michael’s instinct, his ability to take over games, his ability to want to have that last shot. LeBron doesn’t have that gene.”

“I can sit here and say today, I watched LeBron the other night,” Pippen explained. “The game was on the line. And he made little or no effort to go after the ball.”

Pippen defends his view

“It’s that clutch gene. I’m not taking it away that he don’t know how to win, and he’s not willing to have the ball in his hands. But the players that have that clutch gene, they’re gonna go get that ball.”

Well, Pippen was probably using the show to give people a controversial topic. LeBron and Jordan will be in the same city this weekend for the NBA’s annual All-Star Game festivities. This debate is not ending here, and we can imagine all the pundits and players who will give their opinion on the debate. Who is winning it? We cannot really say, because LeBron earned himself a bunch of enemies on his way to Los Angeles. People cannot accept the idea of seeing him wearing a Lakers jersey.
