Stephen A. Smith Makes Shocking Statement About LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers deal with too many problems at the moment, and the arrival of LeBron James did not solve any of that. But, Stephen A. Smith actually believes that LeBron is the biggest problem Magic Johnson has this season.

Many would say that LeBron is the best basketball player in the world, but you will never hear those words from Smith. Moreover, he keeps telling people that they should stop calling him “the best.”

“The biggest problem with the Los Angeles Lakers is LeBron James,” Smith said Tuesday. “… from this day forward, we’re going to stop calling LeBron James the best player in the world. We’re going to stop that right now. LeBron James is obviously great… he ain’t playing no defense on too many occasions. Guys are salivating at the opportunity for LeBron James to be defending them.”

Smith tries to “fix it”

Maybe these comments were too hot, and Smith realized that. He made a step back, and said that LeBron’s injury is actually “killing” his potential on the floor.

“He’s not 100 percent healthy, we recognize that,” Smith said. “And what I’m primarily saying about him not being the best player in the world right now is because LeBron James is not 100 percent healthy.” 

LeBron missed 17 games due to his groin strain. The young Lakers core could not cope with the loss, and the players struggled on the floor. King James is back now, but his return did not change the situation in the Western Conference. LA keeps going low, and the fanbase is far from pleased at the moment. In fact, they blame LeBron for the failure. LeBron is also frustrated with the fact that the team is comfortable with losing so many games, and fans attacked him. Things are getting really hot in LA.
