Watch: LeBron James’ Interview After Finishing His First Game Since Injury

The Los Angeles Lakers are safe for now. LeBron James returned to the floor, and won the first game he played in since his return. It was more than obvious they are not as strong as they were with LeBron at the beginning of the season. Luckily, things have changed a lot. King James had his very first interview, and talked about the first game and his return.

LeBron missed 17 games due to his groin strain. He did not have much luck in the Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors. The king was back to the lineup, and said he feels around 80 percent and that “it’s going to take a little while to get my rhythm back.” The interview says it all.

“I’m about 80 [percent] right now, but I was good enough to feel confident and push throughout the game,” LeBron said. “The first quarter was kind of a feel-out, I haven’t been out there since December 25th. Second quarter, I kind of ramped it up a little bit more than for the rest of the game. It’s going to take a little while to get my rhythm back. I didn’t shoot the ball particularly well. I’m very efficient and I take that personal. I was able to help out in other ways and this was a big team win for us.

“I worked my ass off to get back to this point. It’s the toughest stretch of my career.”

LeBron had a few great moments in the overtime win over the Los Angeles Clippers. He nearly recorded a triple-double while scoring 24 points. He recorded 14 rebounds and had nine assists. The king did not shoot the ball well from the perimeter. He connected on just one of his six attempts from beyond the arc. LeBron finished the night shooting 9 of 22 from the field.
