Watch: Stephon Gilmore Intercepts Jared Goff Late In Fourth Quarter

The Los Angeles Rams were close to winning Super Bowl LIII with just four minutes left of the match. They struggled a lot throughout the entire game, and finally had a drive that was about to end in the best way ever. However, the drive turned into a huge disappointment thanks to Patriots corner Stephon Gilmore.

Jared Goff dropped back to pass only one play after the Rams were kept out of the end zone. He looked deep again, and Stephon Gilmore picked the ball off.

Gilmore was great this season, and head coach Bill Belichick knows it. He even earned his second Pro Bowl nod.

“Yeah, Steph’s had a good year. I thought he had a good year for us last year. I mean, all players improve as they’ve been in the system longer. He was a good player when he got here. He’s had a good year for us,” Belichick said of the corner.

“It’s a great honor. I wouldn’t say it’s not, but I’ve got a big game this week. Going to the playoffs, that’s something I like doing, so that’s what one thing we’ve got to handle our business this week to put a great future in our season,” Gilmore said.

“Yeah, he’s had a great year and he’s been just so solid. It’s tough to complete the ball on him. We feel that way in practice. I’ve played with a lot of good corners and he’s right up there with the best of them. He knocks the ball away, intercepts the ball, makes the quarterback pay. He’s physical, good in the run game, good in zone, good in short, intermediate, deep. I mean, he’s all-around just been a great player for us,” Tom Brady said of his teammate.

So, Gilmore better keep doing his best, because the Pats need every bit of his talent.
