LeBron James Makes ‘Tough’ Claim About Lakers Teammate Kyle Kuzma

Kyle Kuzma is one of the greatest young prospects in Los Angeles, but he suffered an ankle injury in the game against the Los Angeles Clippers. LeBron James felt really bad about the injury and talked about his younger teammate.

The Lakers power forward had a nice scoring game over the recent weeks, but he was forced to leave the court in the fourth quarter of the game. Kyle Kuzma rolled his ankle and fell to the floor. LeBron said it was “tough” to see Kuzma leave the game. Kuzma will miss the game against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday.

“It sucks not only for the ball club but for the individual himself,” LeBron said. “I know how much work Kuz puts into taking care of his body and just trying to be available to his team-mates. Seeing him roll his ankle on a non-contact was definitely tough.”

Brandon Ingram, Tyson Chandler, Lonzo Ball and Lance Stephenson are also sidelined through injury.

“I haven’t been a part of a season with this amount of injuries to all our key guys,” LeBron added. “Our big, big key guys. It’s just the way the season has been. We’ve had guys step up. Josh [Hart] stepped up in his absence tonight and it was great to see him play well again. But for us, we kind of pride ourselves on our depth at the start of the season. Our first unit and our second unit are very good but our depth has dwindled over the course of the weeks because of our injuries.”

“I am just as tired as I am after any game. The back—to-back was tough on all of us, the Milwaukee and Phoenix games. Sunday I didn’t do anything, just tired to allow my body to recover. We will start the treatment process now ready for Wednesday.”
