Trent Brown Signing Record-Breaking Deal With New NFL Team

The Oakland Raiders traded veteran offensive guard Kelechi Osemele to the New York Jets on Sunday, but GM Mike Mayock is now making new acquisitions in the offseason. The Raiders will sign Patriots’ offensive tackle Trent Brown in free agency after the team decided to go against extending him a franchise tag deal.

Trent Brown will probably sign a new deal that would make him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the entire history of football. He will ink a four-year deal worth $66 million with $36.75 million being guaranteed to the player.

In other words, Brown will put the crown to his brilliant campaign in 2018. This deal is like a dream come true.

Brown started 16 games for the New England Patriots in 2018 and had his best season with the team. This was his first and maybe last season in Foxboro. He joined the Pats after playing three seasons with the 49ers.

“Of course I knew you got a chance to win here,” Brown said earlier in the season. “But another thing that popped into my mind was all the bullcrap that people say about this place. I’ve always been a man that forms my own opinions, and when I got here, I quickly found out that it’s nothing like anybody says. It is fun here. I think the guys in the locker room enjoy each other. Everybody in the facility enjoys each other, and we go out there and play for each other every time we touch the field. There’s no selfishness in the locker room. There’s no egos. It’s just one.”

“I’m always kind of juiced when the ball is coming behind me, but especially on the goal line, because it ain’t a lot of running anybody can do down there. It’s man-on-man football. That’s about as football as it gets, and it’s just fun.”
