Rob Gronkowski’s Agent Releases New Update On Gronk’s Retirement Plans

The Patriots nation is interested in Gronk’s story. Will the Patriots tight retire this offseason? Rob Gronkowski has been flirting with the idea of retiring for a couple of years, but it is really hard to make the final decision. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, says he doesn’t know anything about Gronk’s retirement.

Rosenhais talked about Gronkowski’s future plans during his appearance on ESPN’s “NFL Live.” He confirmed that Gronk is healthy.

“I talked to Rob last night,” Rosenhaus said. “He won’t even tell me. He said he hasn’t made a decision yet. He is healthy, which I’m excited to say. He’s feeling a lot better. He plays through an injury in the Super Bowl — what else is new for that beast? He’s so tough. The quad is healthy now.

“Personally, I just want what’s best for Rob. I said, ‘Rob, take your time. Do what you believe in.’ He’s already the all-time greatest tight end. He’s a first-ballot Hall of Fame. There’s never been a tight end like this guy. The sky’s the limit for him. If he comes back to play, fantastic. I honestly don’t know. I’m waiting to see like everybody else.”

Mike Florio believes that Gronk will go for another season.

“I was told on Super Bowl Sunday that if he emerges from the Super Bowl healthy and he knows Brady is all in for another year, there’s a good chance he comes back, which is a surprise,” Florio told WEEI’s Mut & Callahan. “It is a major shift from how he was thinking a year ago. But, he got through the year largely unscathed. He’s healthy. He’s feeling good. Maybe he’s thinking, and maybe Tom Brady has been working on him, maybe that Alex Guerrero book has got him something in his avocado ice cream that is making him love football a little bit more. It would be a surprise if he changes his mind and plays, but the longer this goes on — when he said after the Super Bowl he would make his decision in a week or two, that told me he would announce the decision he already made in a week or two and he’s retiring. Here we are a month later and he hasn’t announced a decision yet, maybe he is thinking about it a little bit longer than he did last year.”
