Tom Brady Responds To Josh Gordon’s Potential Return With Patriots

Josh Gordon took to his Instagram account to thank the New England Patriots for placing an original-round restricted free agent tender on him. Gordon appreciated the trust New England has, and quoted John F. Kennedy to thank them.

“Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men,” Gordon wrote.

Tom Brady responded to Gordon’s message. He wrote, “You got that right Flash.”

Tom and Josh had a really nice game in Foxboro. The quarterback has the same reaction as his teammates.

“We all wish him the best. I think that’s how we all feel. We want him to do what’s best for him,” Brady said. “I certainly appreciate all of his efforts and hard work. I just didn’t have much of a reaction. I’m just focused on what I have to do and that’s kind of the way it’s been all year.”

Gordon didn’t spend too much time in New England, but Brady appreciates every moment they had on the field.

“Just really enjoy our time together,” TB12 said. “We spend so much time here. We’re here until late at night, early in the morning, on the field, watching film and so forth and it’s just been great. I can’t say enough good things.

“Obviously, I’m older than everyone else so I have been around for a while and a lot of the guys were young when they watched me play. I feel the same about those guys. They keep me going and I learn from them and they’re – I’d say more youthful energy at times when I need it. But I feel the same. Everyone contributes different things and when I was young, I looked up to the older guys, too. Hopefully they gained a lot from me and it just always goes both ways.

“Yeah, he’s very strong at the catch-point.He’s got a big body, it’s hard to go through him, he’s got a great catch radius. So when the ball’s in the air, he just attacks it. I think most of the time they’re not really going for the ball. They’re just trying to get him on the ground and his catch-and-run is dynamic and he’s made a lot of great plays for us this year.”
