Rob Gronkowski ‘s Agent Provides Bold Insight On TE’s Retirement Decision

The Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is about to make a decision on his retirement. His agent Drew Rosenhaus appeared on “The Peter King Podcast,” and talked about Gronk’s future plans.

“He loves football,” the agent said. “He loves playing with (Tom) Brady and (Bill) Belichick and his teammates. He loves to win championships. But at the same time, the amount of pain and punishment that he’s had to endure, for somebody who can do something outside of football and be a huge success — whether it is broadcasting, or acting, or endorsements — Rob has so many opportunities. It is a tough decision. I am sure he would love to play football, but at the same time he has to consider where he is from a physical standpoint.

“Economics will have nothing to do with it. We’ll find out. … I just suggested he take his time and we’ll all wait for his decision. I will support it either way.”

This is not the first time Rosehnaus talks about Gronk’s decision. According to him Gronk has yet to make a decision.

“I talked to Rob last night,” he said. “He won’t even tell me. He said he hasn’t made a decision yet. He is healthy, which I’m excited to say. He’s feeling a lot better. He plays through an injury in the Super Bowl — what else is new for that beast? He’s so tough. The quad is healthy now.

“Personally, I just want what’s best for Rob. I said, ‘Rob, take your time. Do what you believe in.’ He’s already the all-time greatest tight end. He’s a first-ballot Hall of Fame. There’s never been a tight end like this guy. The sky’s the limit for him. If he comes back to play, fantastic. I honestly don’t know. I’m waiting to see like everybody else.”
