LeBron James Sends Awesome Message To Brandon Ingram After Successful Surgery

The Los Angeles Lakers had the worst week in the regular season. The team went 1-3 in the four games they had. But, things aren’t as bad as you think. There is a tiny ray of light, and it comes in the form Brandon Ingram update.

The Lakers announced that Brandon Ingram would miss the rest of the regular season due to his diagnosis. He deals with Deep Venous Thrombosis or blood clots. Blood clots aren’t something basketball players have, but they sure come packed with a terrible story.

Following LA’s loss to the New York Knicks, LeBron said he was relieved to hear the news about Ingram’s health.

“It’s a blessing that everything was successful. It’s a blessing that you get an opportunity to sit back and just be thankful for this beautiful game that the man above has given us — along with Dr. James Naismith — and I wish B.I. the most speedy, fast recovery that’s possible. But come back healthy more than anything, because your health is your wealth, and that’s all that matters.”

“This couldn’t have been a better set of facts for a clot,” Ingram’s agent, Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management, told ESPN. “It’s a night-and-day difference between a hematological issue, or a blood issue however you want to put it, and a structural issue. This was not related to his blood producing something that would cause blood clots. This was purely structural.

“He’s in good spirits and Brandon’s going to make a full recovery.”

Ingram played the best basketball of his career prior to the injury. He averaged 18.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game this season and played really well after the All-Star break. The young player averaged 27.8 points on 57 percent shooting in his six games after the break, as reported by ESPN Stats & Information.
