LeBron James Gives a Shout-out To His Old Teammate After Heat Retire Chris Bosh’s No.1 Jersey

The Miami Heat retired Chris Bosh’s No. 1 Jersey during the game against the Orlando Magic.

The No. 1 Jersey joined Nos. 10, 32 and 33 in the rafters of American Airlines Arena. Bosh has already announced his retirement, and attended the ceremony honoring his career with the team.

Bosh joined the Heat alongside LeBron James. He outlasted LeBron and Dwyane Water on the team’s roster. Wade returned to Miami in 2017. He averaged 18 points in six years with the team, and had 7.4 rebounds. Bosh is a two-time NBA champion and 11-time All Star. He was sure a fan favorite among Miami’s fans.

The Miami Heat also posted a tribute video of Bosh’s tenure with the team. The player also got a tribute video from the squad for his grand ceremony.

LeBron may have had other plans with his game against the Wizards, but he didn’t miss the chance to give Bosh some words of praise for his time in Miami. He wrote, “Congrats @olskool888 on getting that jersey lifted to the rafters today! One of the 1st Point/Forwards in our game. Super dope game! Well deserved.”

“MONSTER!!!!!!!! One beautiful game and even better person!! Love that dude they call CB!”

Bosh put an end to his professional basketball career due to a medical problem caused by blood clots. He appreciated the ceremony, and held a very special speech.

Wade, Udonis Haslem and Erik Spoelstra had special seats for the whole thing, and they sure deserve those. Bosh is just 35, and this was a really great ceremony. But, he earned every bit of it. He played his best basketball in Miami for the last seasons of his professioanl career. The team is happy for his great success and they are also thankful for his great efforts on the court.
