Massachusetts Brewery Amazingly Honors Gronkowski With Special Beer Batch

Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is leaving the world of football, and the Patriots fanbase is sort of disappointed that the star tight end won’t join the team in the upcoming season. Gronk was given so much love and support after he announced his decision to retire from the league. This brewery honored the tight end in the most perfect way.

We all know that Gronk loves beer. That’s why Night Shift Brewing, located in Everett, Mass., honored Gronk with its signature American Double India Pale Ale called “The 87.” This local brew is offered year-round, and the next batch will be named “Cheers Gronk!” Can you believe that?

The brewery posted a photo of the ale, honoring Gronk.

“Heroes get remembered, but legends never die. This next batch of The 87 is dedicated to the other “87” – Rob Gronkowski. Cheers to 9 amazing seasons for one incredible team,” the caption read.

We know that Gronk will love this. It’s one of his favorite things, right?

But, fans will still have to get over his retirement. Gronk made the big announcement, and people still can’t get used to it.

“It all started at 20 years old on stage at the NFL draft when my dream came true, and now here I am about to turn 30 in a few months with a decision I feel is the biggest of my life so far,” Gronk wrote on Instagram. “I will be retiring from the game of football today. I am so grateful for the opportunity that Mr. Kraft and Coach Belichick gave to me when drafting my silliness in 2010. My life experiences over the last 9 years have been amazing both on and off the field.

“The people I have meet, the relationships I have built, the championships I have been apart of, I just want to thank the whole New England Patriots organization for every opportunity I have been giving and learning the great values of life that I can apply to mine. Thank you to all of Pats Nation around the world for the incredible support since I have been apart of this 1st class organization. Thank you for everyone accepting who I am and the dedication I have put into my work to be the best player I could be.”
