Los Angeles Lakers Made Final Decision On Shutting Down LeBron

LeBron James will soon see the end of his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

No, it’s not what you think. The team announced that LeBron is now shut down for the rest of the season after consulting a team of doctors. He was given minutes restriction in the past games, and now he is out.

“’After consulting with our team doctors and medical staff, we have decided to hold LeBron out of games for the remainder of the season. This decision will allow his groin to fully heal, and is best for the future success of both LeBron and the Lakers.’

James will travel with the team on the upcoming road trip to New Orleans and Oklahoma City.”

LeBron James has missed 17 consecutive games due to a groin strain and returned on Jan 31. He missed another game since his return. Then came the minutes restriction, and LeBron was also out of back-to-back games.

King James sat out just four matchups since his return in January. He averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 8.3 assists while shooting 33.9 percent from beyond the arc.

The Lakers have six games on their schedule, and will then focus on the offseason and the new player they plan to sign.

“I’ll be watching it if we’re not in there, and it looks like our chances are slim to none after each and every game, and so many teams in the West are playing well,” LeBron said earlier this month. “So you try to get better, but this won’t be the last time I’ll be in the postseason.”

“Obviously, I would love for the team to be in the postseason, he said. “Even if I’m not a part of it, the postseason I’ve always loved. But right now, it’s not the hand I was dealt, so you play the hand that you were dealt until the dealer shuffles the cards and you’re dealt another hand and can do that.”
