Lakers’ Reveal LeBron’s Status For Tonight’s Game Vs. Hornets

The Los Angeles Lakers have no way of making the playoffs this year, and they are already planning their next season. Yes, they are looking for another star to play alongside LeBron James and probably a head coach as fans blame Luke Walton for the bad season. LeBron James is also in the center of all events and the team has to make a decision on his status for the rest of the season.

One thing stands for sure, LeBron’s status for the game against the Hornets is confirmed. The information was confirmed by Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum SportsNet.

LeBron was rested on Wednesday, but he is coming back to action on Friday. The last five games were huge, and he averaged 27.8 points, 10.6 assists and 7.4 boards.

Nobody thought that the situation in Los Angeles would take this direction. The signing of LeBron brought hope to the team and the fanbase. It was more than obvious that they are ready to make the playoffs. But, LeBron’s groin strain and the Anthony Davis rumors were two of the things that destroyed Los Angeles’ hopes to play the big game.

LeBron will have a free summer for the first time since 2005. It’s not the best scenario, but the man will get a chance to rest.

“Absolutely I’ve thought about how my summer is going to be,” LeBron said. “It’s unfortunate that we’re so far out of the postseason right now and looking like we won’t be a part of it.

“Obviously, the first thing that comes to mind is just taking care of my body.

“I’ve played a lot of basketball, played a lot of minutes over my 16-year career.

“So getting an opportunity to have a couple more months to take care of my body and refresh my mind and my body, is going to be very key going into my 17th year. So I’m looking forward to that.”
