LeBron Described Lakers’ Season After Being Officially Eliminated From Playoffs

The Los Angeles Lakers are officially eliminated from the playoffs, and LeBron James has an opinion about the Lakers’ season.

Lakers’ season was “not what we signed up for,” as LeBron likes to say, and he will miss the playoffs from the first time since 2005. The Brooklyn Nets defeated his team on Friday, and put an end to the Lakers’ postseason hopes.

LeBron finished the game with 25 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds. But, he still thinks his performance was “s****y.”

“Obviously, it’s been a tough season for all of us,” LeBron said. “It’s not what we signed up for. Throughout the year, things happened. Suspensions, injuries, things of that nature. And just not being able to play sustainable basketball for 48 minutes.

“But you don’t even try to wrap your head around it, you just keep pushing. Just try to get better tonight, move onto tomorrow, and go from there.

Playoffs are never promised. You’ve got to come out and work. For me personally, you just continue to put the work in and see what you can do to help.”

The Lakers went up and down through the season. They defeated the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day and had a comeback win over the Houston Rockets in the very first match after the All-Star break.

However, LeBron’s groin strain led to 12 losses in 14 outings.

How many games will LeBron play? Will the head coach rest him for the remainder of the season? Or will he finish the season like he usually does?

“I’m probably going to have a conversation with the coaching staff and my trainer and go from there.

“But I love to hoop. S***, I’m going to have five months and not play the game. So, you know, hopefully I can be in as many games as possible.”
