LeBron James Publicly Backs Magic Johnson

The Los Angeles Lakers stand away from the playoffs at this time of the regular season, but there are no hard feelings between LeBron James and Magic Johnson.

LeBron will miss the playoffs for the first time in a really long time. He trusted Magic Johnson a year ago, and he will keep doing that. LeBron didn’t sign a one-year deal with the Lakers, and agreed to spend four years in Los Angeles. He has a player option for the final season, but we don’t really think that he will use it. There is a strong bond between him and the team, and nothing will change that.

Some say that Magic Johnson should trade the All-Star while he is still an elite player. Many analysts say that Johnson shouldn’t have built his roster around LeBron. However, LeBron isn’t giving up on the team. He believes in the front office and their decisions.

“I trust the people in charge,” King James said, “and that’s what it is.”

“I don’t think it changes: I think everybody knew that coming into this year it was still going to be challenging even if we were all healthy and played all 82 games,” he said when asked if this season will affect their chance of signing an All-Star. “We continue to have injuries, your depth is not as you would like it to be, and it’s hard on a ball club. So we have an opportunity to get better this summer through free agency, and through the draft, and I believe our front office and our coaching staff are going to make that happen.”

Maybe Johnson shouldn’t have combined Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, JaVale McGee and Rajon Rondo. Maybe he made a mistake by trading Ivica Zubac for Mike Muscala. But the front office learned from the mistakes they made, and signing Reggie Bullock was a good idea.
