LeBron Supports Teammate Lonzo Ball Amid BBB Allegations

LeBron James joined a completely different family in the Western Conference, and his young teammates are more like brothers to him. LeBron supported them in every way possible, regardless of whether they suffered a terrible injury or missed a pass. This time he had words of support for Lonzo Ball.

Lonzo Ball missed many games due to his injury, and LeBron is really supportive in the whole process. Ball is struggling with a different problem at the moment, and it’s more like a family business.

Sources reveal that Lonzo left his father’s Big Baller Brand due to theft of $1.5 million from the company. Lonzo Ball deleted all references to Big Baller and his father, CEO LaVar Ball, from his Instagram account. He also posted something that was interpreted as a hint about his possible future with Nike.

LeBron talked to Tania Ganguli of Los Angeles Times, and said, “Whatever the kid decides to do, whatever brand he comes with next — if it’s with Nike, obviously we would welcome him.”

He went on talking on the Big Baller situation and how Ball handled the situation.

“I love the fact that he’s taking control of his [stuff]. I mean… that’s what’s really, really dope to me. Once I saw that story, I just seen a kid turning into a man. ‘This is my career and I’m taking this… I done had enough. If I’m not going to be successful, I’m not going to be successful on my terms.’”

Although he didn’t pressure Ball about his future career, LeBron hinted a potential deal.

“I love the kid regardless of what shoes he had on. But we shall see. I mean he plays well when he has on Nikes,” he added.

Ball decided not to sign an endorsement deal with a big sportswear brand when he was drafted after one year at UCLA. He turned into the face of Big Baller.
