Report: Anthony Davis Bombshell, LeBron James Sent Trade Update

Will the Anthony Davis saga ever end? The latest update makes us think twice.

The Los Angeles Lakers better start working on their backup plan, because there is almost zero possibility that Anthony Davis ends up playing with LeBron James. It seems like the New Orleans Pelicans aren’t interested in doing business with Lakers this summer

ESPN’s Marc J. Spears reported that the Pelicans won’t trade Davis to the Lakers under any condition. The Lakers are out of the playoff picture this season, and they will probably focus on their offseason activity. The team has underachieved this season, and they failed to make the playoffs due to injuries. LeBron James, Rajon Rondo, Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma and a few others suffered terrible injuries, and Brandon Ingram is dealing with a specific health problem. Things don’t look too good for the Lakers roster, and hopefully, that will change next season.

Los Angeles Lakers will have to do the right thing this summer. Is Anthony Davis still their top target?

Spears reported that the Lakers won’t have success signing Davis, because the Pelicans don’t even think of reaching an agreement with the team.

“I have been told that there’s no way Anthony Davis is coming here [to the Lakers], through the Pelicans,” he said on The Jump.

“They’re just not going to do it.”

This will definitely add more pressure on the Lakers, and they will have to work extra hard to add at least one All-Star player. The team has enough cap space to offer one max salary slot, and they may even sign two players for lesser contracts.

According to recent reports, Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant won’t team up with King James. The Lakers may focus on Kemba Walker and Khris Middleton.

The Lakers won’t be the only team hoping to sign top free agents. The Los Angeles Clippers, New York knicks and Brookly Nets will also do their job.
