Report: Lakers Give Official Decision On LeBron For The Rest Of The Season

The Los Angeles Lakers don’t have much luck, and the team has made a decision on LeBron James.

According to Chris Haynes, the Lakers will rest LeBron and limit him to 28-32 minutes per game. He will also be allowed to sit out either end of the Lakers’ three remaining back-to-backs.

This came after Rajon Rondo displayed his discontent with the team in which he decided to sit courtside rather than on the bench with his team in the final minutes of LA’s loss to the Nuggets.

Things do not look too well for the Lakers. They are 30-35 at the moment and won just two of their last 10 matchups. This puts them outside the playoff picture in the Western Conference.

If you check up ESPN’s Basketball Power Index, Los Angeles now has 0.9 percent chance to take part in the playoffs. Not the best scenario they hoped for.

Maybe this would be the right move at this moment, but it doesn’t make things easier for LeBron James and his teammates. It would be pretty wise to limit LeBron’s risk of injury while playing games that won’t change a thing.

LeBron has just passed Michael Jordan in NBA’s all-time scoring list.

“A lot of stuff that I have done in my career, this ranks right up there at the top with winning a championship,” he said. “For a kid from Akron, Ohio, that needed inspiration and needed some type of positive influence, MJ was that guy for me. I watched him from afar, wanted to be like MJ, wanted to shoot fadeaways like MJ, wanted to stick my tongue out on dunks like MJ, wanted to wear my sneakers like MJ. I wanted kids to look up to me at some point like MJ.”
